Spark Donates When You Go Solar

Spark Solar 2021 Charitable Donations

Putting Your Energy To Good Use.

Spark Solar is proud to announce that we will be paying it forward with every single solar project that is completed this year! The Texas Parks & Wildlife and GivePower foundations are two amazing groups of people that are fighting every day for conservation and change in our local communities and in those around the world.

Spark Solar promises to donate a minimum of $40 for every project that we complete in 2021 to Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation.

Dynamic SLR, our installation partner, has vowed to donate $40 from every project completed to GivePower.

In 2020, Spark Solar completed a total of 508 solar projects.

That would’ve been $40,640 donated!

We want to DOUBLE that number this year & allocate the funds to these organizations that are helping save our planet!

Protecting The Wild Things & Places Of Texas

Texas Parks & Wildlife’s mission is to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.”

Texas Parks And Wildlife

From the panhandle, through the plains and over the hills, all the way down to the Gulf Coast, Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation is working to ensure the liveliness of our great state. Since 1991, TPW has invested over $205 million to conserve Texas’ wildlife, habitats, and natural resources.

Wildlife conservation is the wise use and management of natural resources, without wasting them or exploiting them.” “Land fragmentation, loss of open space, pressures on water supply and habitat – these are just a few of the challenges that threaten our wild things and wild places. Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation works hard to ensure the continued vitality of our lands, waters, and wildlife for the benefit of all Texans.”

“We love Texas, so I said, ‘shoot, let’s keep our money right here in Texas & give it to something that we know is beneficial!’ To me, land, water, and wildlife conservation is extremely important. So many people go to these state parks to make memories with their families; memories that children can reminisce on when they’re 40 years old. Some of my favorite memories, even as an adult, are fishing for perch at the Cleburne State Park, mountain biking in Dinosaur Valley State Park, swimming the rivers in Austin, or just putting the cell phones up for a while, throwing on a backpack & hitting some trails with my wife and kids. It’s all about putting money back into something that is family oriented. In my opinion, going out into nature is a great way to bond outside of the busyness of life.”

Texas Parks and Wildlife supports 95 state parks, 4 million acres of coastal water, 191,000 miles of rivers and streams, 649 bird species, over a million acres of public hunting land, and much more. We, at Spark Solar, are delighted to support TPWF in ensuring that Texans now, and in the future, can rejoice in all of these wild places and things here in our great state!

The Charge For Change

GivePower‘s mission is to install solar energy technologies that enable essential services critical for community health and vitality.”

GivePower uses solar technology to give access to not only clean energy, but also clean water in regions that are lacking it. From solar farms at Standing Rock, to micro-grids in Kenya, to solar water farms in Haiti, this organization is working to ensure that remote communities and villages around the globe have access to power and clean, drinkable water in their schools, clinics, and even an elephant orphanage! Their work has provided aide and economic opportunities to indigenous people around the world.

People in these remote communities are forced to drink, bathe in, and cook with contaminated, brackish water. The second GivePower Solar Water Farm opened April of 2020 in Haiti, which is bringing a clean water source to a community that didn’t have a water system previously. This is especially critical during the pandemic that we are currently facing; not only does this provide clean water for handwashing and bathing, but also helps prevent waterborne diseases and fight fever.

“Humanity needs to take swift action to address the increasingly severe global water crisis that faces the developing world,” said Hayes Barnard, Founder of GivePower. “With our background in off-grid clean energy, GivePower can immediately help by deploying solar water farm solutions to save lives in areas throughout the world that suffer from prolonged water scarcity.”

GivePower uses solar technology to bring clean water & energy to remote areas of the world

GivePower’s Solar Water Farms are capable of transforming 75,000 liters of brackish and/or seawater into clean, drinkable water every day. Just $20 can provide 20 years of clean water for one person. Our installation partner, Dynamic SLR “is proud to make a donation to GivePower for every solar installation we complete. By working with us, you’ll not only enjoy all of the benefits of using clean, renewable energy but will also be helping those who need it most.”
